1.Do you usually write by hand or write using a computer( typewriter orword-processor)?

I prefer writing on the computer rather than writing by hand. Though I do enjoy journal writing with pen and colored pencils from time to time, I have always “pooh-poohed” the people who say the pen is more directly connected to the brain than the keyboard.

和手写比起来我宁愿用电脑，虽然我偶尔很喜欢用钢笔和彩色铅笔写日记，我总是对那些说是比键盘更直接连接的人不屑一顾。

2.Nowadays, how do most people write things?

People usually write on their computers or Ipad, because it's faster than writing by hands. Moreover, they don't have to worry bout spelling as much!

人们通常在自己的电脑或iPad写东西，因为它比手写更快。另外，他们不需要很担心拼写。

3.Do you think computers might one day replace handwriting?

No, I think we will always write by hand. I think it’s an important skill, and schools will continue to teach children to write by hand before they learn to type.

不，我觉得我们会一直手写，我认为这是一项重要的技能，学校在孩子们学习打字之前将会持续教他们手写。

4.When do children begin to write in your country?

Children in my country are supposed to be able to read and write their ABC's by the time they hit the kindergarten or preschool. All kids are different, generally most kids start to learn writing at the age of about 3 or 4.

我们国家的孩子在幼儿园或者学前班之前都应该能够读写出最基本的字。每个孩子都不同，总的来说大部分孩子在3-4岁的时候开始学习写字。

5.How did you learn to write?

At first I read, then I learn to imitate what I saw, first taught by my parents, then teachers when I entered the elementary school.

最开始我是阅读，然后我开始模仿我看到的东西。一开始是父母教我，当我上小学的时候是老师教我的。

6.Do you think handwriting is very important (nowadays)?

NO. My handwriting is horrible, but it's not about ability, it's about care. Why is doctors' handwriting infamously atrocious? Because they have better things to worry about.

不，我字写的很烂，这不是能力问题，而是关注点的问题。为什么医生写的字出了名的难看，因为他们有更好的事情需要关注。

7.How can children today improve (or, practice) their handwriting?

Practice makes perfect. Have them trace a model. Let them treat it like homework and spend 30 minutes or more everyday working on it, at first. Besides, parents and teachers should encourage them to slow down when handwriting assignments.

熟能生巧。让他们跟模板临摹，最开始让他们像对待家庭作业一样每天花30分钟甚至更多的时间练习。另外，老师和家长要鼓励他们在写字的时候慢慢来。

8.What impression does a person's handwriting have on other people?

There is a famous Chinese saying, "you are what you write", so a person's handwriting may strike other people as signs of his/her personality.

有一句著名的中国谚语：“字如其人”，所以别人从你的字品就可以看出你的人品。
