Job hopping and changing places of accommodation have popular in these days. While some people prefer to stick to the same job and living area all life long, I think that some changes can lead to desirable consequences.
People who stay with the same organization have the advantage of thoroughly understanding the process of operation at work and also becoming more familiar with the staff. If they work hard, their promotion prospects are good and there is likely to be greater job Security, with promise of a good pension when they retire.
Traditionally, employers value loyalty and may offer additional incentives to long-term employees. However, many employers today value more of their employees’ capabilities and devotion during their time staying in the company. Besides, many companies prefer a change of blood from time to time to maintain their competitiveness and vitality.
Today, moving from one organization to another can be seen as a strategic decision in order to have variety and acquire a range of skills and experience. Also, for most people they get their first job they have little idea whether or not they will remain in the organization throughout their working life. So it might be unreasonable to stop giving themselves some chances to explore in terms of their career prospects.
Nowadays, modern telecommunication and computer technologies have granted people the chance of working at home and free to choose location of residences without worrying the commuting home and office. And people tend to move to different place for better education and medical resources for their families when they reach certain age of life or they prefer to settle cities or towns where they could lead a more peaceful way of life.
Overall, I believe that, as it is planned carefully, change can be positive in people's choice of life.
