In the modern society, the high prevalence of TV has negative impacts on interpersonal relationship. Some people believe this machine breaks the bonds between family members or between friends. Personally, I concur with this contention, and my reasons will be expounded as below.
Admittedly, TV programs can provide topics of communication among family members. Today, there is always a gap between two generations, so that teenagers are less willing to talk with their parents. Fortunately, news reports on TV, about politics, economy, social employment, fashion, sports, and gossips of celebrities, can spark the common interest of them in a certain social issue. In TV time, family members begin to exchange ideas, questions and answers, share their experience and stories, and discuss the social issues. As a result, these interactions strengthen the bonds of family.
