1. 消极的人：Debbie downer.

eg: My date from last night was such a Debbie downer that I went home with a heavy heart!

We shouldn't let a Debbie downer ruin our high spirits.

2. 乐天的人：xx has a sunny personality.

eg: He is the most positive person I've ever known and he always seems so contend.

3. 能说会道的人：xx has a silver tongue.

eg: Jessica has a silver tongue. Thanks to her, we got the raise!

空话：lip service

eg: Managers at your company must have said how much they appreciated all your hard work, but if they're really impressed by what you've done, they should have given you a raise already! Their insincere appreciation is lip service.

4. 夜猫子：night owls

eg: Some of us are planning a sleep over at my apartment. We are all night owls!

睡得沉的人是 a sound sleeper, 觉轻的人则是 a light sleeper.

5. 闺蜜：BFF (Best Friend Forever)

eg: She's definitely my BFF! We were college classmates and lived in the same dorm for four years. We are tight!

6. 小心眼的人：xx is petty(narrow-minded and mean).

eg: You have no idea how petty she is.

记仇：hold a grudge

eg: I think she still hold a secret grudge against me!

7. 路痴：xx with no sense of direction

eg: People with no sense of direction can easily get lost.

对某地了如指掌：I know that city like the back of my hand.

8. 菜鸟：newbie

eg: Everyone has to start out as a newbie and a few pointers on how to find the coolest iPhone apps.

9. 月光族：xx live from paycheck to paycheck.

eg: I live from paycheck to paycheck now and can't afford this purse. It will break the bank.

10. 拍马屁的人：A suck up to B.

eg: Our team leader sucks up to the boss. But I do understand him. People say the office is like a modern jungle, and only the fittest can survive. Office politics are very common at the workplace.

11. 抠门的人：cheapskate

eg: My partner is a real cheapskate.

大手大脚的人：spendthrift

eg: That's a textbook case of a spendthrift attracting gold diggers!

拜金女：gold digger

12. 宅男宅女：homebody

eg: A homebody is a person who prefers to stay at home and seldom goes out.

couch potato: 沙发土豆，就是一天到晚赖在沙发上看电视的人。

eg: Being a couch potato isn't healthy.
