The person I admire in the sports field is Messi, a well-known football player from Argentina. He now works for the Barcelona Team, which is also a famous football team worldwide. I think he played well not because he won the FIFA World Player of the Year 2009. I’ve watched many football matches, including World Cup and European Soccer Championship, and I’ve found that he’s talented in playing football. Messi is ace at free kicks and long shots, but he scores in other ways as well. He knows how to control the football freely, it seems that the football is conquered by him. When he comes close to the goal area, the goalkeepers will become nervous because they know, if they’re distracted for just a second, Messi will probably score a goal. He’s not only good at playing football, he also knows how to cooperate with his teammates. Sometimes he had the chance to shoot, but for the whole team, he passed the ball to his partners and made sure they score a goal. He is also a man with leadership. I remember that in the year 2014, he was the captain of Argentina football team. He led his team to struggle for the championship of the World Cup. They finally got into the final. Although they didn’t win the match, I think it’s still a great success for him.
