The most useful and interesting website I have used recently is a website called Quandl which can be used as a search engine for numerical data. It just likes a big database（数据库） in which we are able to acquire millions offinancial, economic and social data sets. When I was interning in a consulting company focusing on market entry, I was asked to collect a large amount of data to support our research. You know, it was quite tricky （棘手的）to finish this task since I had to go to too many places to collect the data I wanted. Then one of workmates recommended this website and said that I could find all the data I need on this website.After I got on this website, I found it’s so convenient to find data and all I need to do was typing different key words into the search box. I also found that data on Quandl allow users to find and download in various formats. My boss was so astonished when he found that I could provide more data than he had required. This website was also quite interesting since I really enjoyed the feeling by putting the key words into the research box and seeing what kind of data will come out. Moreover, I found it amazing that the website could automatically create various charts along with data so that people would never feel boring. So now, using Quandl to find different data has become a daily entertainment for me. Since data can be so boring to most people, it’s quite remarkable that a data website can be so useful as well as interesting.
