The sportsman I want to talk about is Rafa Nadal, the great Spanish tennis player.He is the 9 times French open winner and 14 grand slams owner which is ranked no 2 in the tennis history. When you think about the red clay of tennis court,the first scene you will think about is not the long rally and the dusty sand but this young lad from Mallorca. Now he is entitled with “ the king of the redclay”. It not only because of the incomparable achievements he has on the red clay but also he one of the kind playing style, which, precisely, the top-spin and fast feet. Talking about the match he played that impressed me the most was the one in 2013 Roland Garros beating Novak Djokovic the current no 1 world player in the final. The main feature of this match is that Rafa Nadal was playing under great pressure because he was in a really bad situation against Novak in 2012 and the beginning of 2013. Before that match, he was defeated by Djokovic for 7 times consecutively and the red clay in Roland Garros was the last territory to defend. In the first set, he has a great play and led the game by1-0. But in the second set, Novak fought back as he always did and equalized the game by 1-1. In this particular moment, all the spectator thought thedominance of Rafa in Roland Garros is on the verge of breaking down. But out of blue, he miraculously gain back the momentum and ruled the rest of the game.Finally, he won out by 3-1 and proclaim his undoubted position in French Open. Lookingin to details and statistics of this match. Rafa definitely met some trouble from Djokovic in the second set and his all-time aggressiveness on the red clay was vanished. But that’s also the fun part of a close tennis final, hereadjusted himself in the third set and regain the competitiveness. There was one breath-taking rally in the beginning of third set which could be the turning point of the whole match, which Rafa won with his labelled top spin forehand cross shot.
