giving gifts and receiving gifts are always a great source of joy in my life.I once sent a handmade CD album to a friend, and she loved it so much nearly bursting into tears.
Tina is my best friend in high school, her birthday is in July. After graduation, we would be separated since we would go to different city for college education. So I wanted to give her a meaningful present on her birthday to mark our time spent together .I came up with an idea of making a CD album by myself, which would collect some of our favorite songs. I bought a blank CD from a CD shop. Next, I made a list of the songs we both like. For example, the song we studied in our first English class, Lemon Tree, the song she ordered for me on my birthday, The Season In The Sun, and soon. Finally I selected 15 songs, most of them are by Eason Chan, our favorite Hong Kong singer. Then I downloaded these songs to my computer, and burned them onto the blank disc. At last, I printed a lovely photo of us as the front cover of the album, and wrote my blessing words on the back of the photo to wrap things up.
On Tina’s birthday, when she saw my hand made CD album and the list of songs, she was so surprised and couldn’t stops smiling. She told me how much she loved my gift and she would listen to the CD again and again. That was the first time I made a CD album and I guessed I had made the best choice as a gift.
I guess you can always get more than you give, our lasting friendship is the best example.
