The first time I heard the lovely song is when I was about 8 up to when I was 10 maybe, I can’t remember the exact time, but I’m sure it’s in my primary school. I don’t remember the name of that childhood song already, but I still remember the lyrics and melody of that song. It was written in Chinese, so I can’t completely translate every word of it, but I can tell you the general idea. It’s about the merry time after school. Children go to catch loaches in the muddy water after a heavy rain. Since I caught loaches before, I have strong feelings of this song. Every summer vacation in my primary school, I would visit my grandparents in the countryside. At that time, my cousins always took me to catch loaches, we sang this song aloud on our way to the muddy farm. The melody is cheerful in a merry mood, so we always sang that song at the top of our lungs. It was amazing. But I haven’t gone to catch the loaches for a long time. I was busy with my study before and now busy with my work. The lyrics and melody always remind me of the happiest time I had in my childhood.
