The International Mathematical Olympiad prize is the prize I would like to win in the future. This competition is very famous around the world and it has been held every single year for nearly 60 years. I first knew this competition was from my math teacher in junior high school. I was ace at math when I was in junior high school and even won the first prize in a national math contest. My math teacher was so proud of me since I didn’t let him down. Because of this prize, he thought I had the talent to work in the mathematics field. In fact, math is a difficult, complicated and some kind of boring subject to most people, but for me, it seems like it has no influence on me. Math questions are interesting challenges for me. So my math teacher recommended the International Mathematical Olympiad to me. It is a world competition and I will come across a lot of math genius from other countries, so I have to do more practice. Firstly, I need to do tons of exercises related to advanced mathematics, as well as read academic articles about profound mathematical problems. Besides, I should master the skills of solving problems. It will cost me a lot of time and energy but I don’t care as long as I can win the prize. This prize is important for me not only because my teacher suggested me, but also my own desire to prove my strength in math. Moreover, if I won the prize, I could get the opportunity of being accepted by the top universities in the world. Also, competing with candidates from other countries is quite important for improving my own thinking methods.
