【雅思口语Part2】Describe something you did which was a waste of time1

Lisa is one of my best friends. We have known each other for almost 5 years. I met her when I was in junior high school and we were in the same class. At that time, we talked happily with each other since we had the similar hobbies. We often went to the nearby café and spent a whole afternoon chatting.After we graduated, we went to different colleges in different cities but the long distance would not stop us. We still called each other three times a week and shared things together. Last weekend, I called Lisa because I missed her so much.Lisa asked me to recommend a movie that I thought was fantastic. I told her something about my favorite movie. She was so curious about it and begged me to tell her more about it. So then, I described the long story of that movie in detail. After the long story, we talked about movie stars, singers and anything you can imagine. We chatted for almost three hours. After hanging up, I tries to remember what we had talked about but I could remember nothing. I suddenly realized that nothing was useful in our conversation. It was totally a waste of time. As college students, we should not spend too much time on these useless things. I shared my feelings with Lisa and she agreed that we talked too often on the phone. We both realized that talking too much about those movie stars was not going to improve ourselves. So she suggested we should think more about our concerns. We should do more reading and focus on our study.
