I think I would depict the world-renowed NBA basketball star named Yaoming, I guess you know him as well, who is from the same city as I am. I suppose everyone in Shanghai knows him for he is the real pearl of the city.

He got draft by Houston Rocket in 2003 and he started his professional career there. Currently he is undoubtly the best center as well as the most infuencial international player in the entire league. He has been present for 6 consecutive all-star games since his landing.

Yao is deemed to be special in terms of both professionalism and business affairs. As a rookie, things didn't go quiet well with him, for he used to be too skinny and he couldn't really fit in with tough body contact as well as the fierce competition. But look at him now, after several years of monotonous and physical training, he has already become strong and can hardly shake in the paint. on the top of that, he alse shows great enshusiasim to commercials and he has been making numerous investments in some certain fields such as catering and fitness.

Finally, being a big fan of basketball, I'll never get tired of meeting superstars. Well a more important thing is that Yao is considered the pride of China. It is my great honor to get the chance to see him.

My favorite sport star is Michael Jordan. I can't remember for sure when I first saw him on TV, but it must be sometime in my junior high school. Perhaps, he is the greatest player to ever play the game. He has ever got six championship rings.

Michael Jordan is the Chicago Bulls superstar who beat Charles Barkley and Akeem Olajuwon for Rookie of the Year Honors in 1985. He has been admired by all those who love playing and watching basketball. Almost everyone knows number 23 for the Chicago Bulls, flying through the air with the greatest of ease, ball in hand, tongue wagging. Michael Jordan, the best known athlete in the world, is a leading scorer in the National Basketball Association (NBA), who led the Chicago Bulls to many recent NBA championships. He is, by far, and will be for a time to come, the best basketball player in the history of the game. I think Jordan not only defines the basketball game, he defines an era. And he will be respected for his super performance in the sport always.
