When it comes to the issue of various parties and celebrations, divided opinions emerge. In the essay, both the dark and bright side of them will be expounded.

On the one side, parties have many benefits. Superficially speaking, they enrich a person’s life. One can get away with daily routines and enjoy delicious foods, wines, music and dances. Also, he or she can make new friends with whom same and similar hobbies can be shared. It is said that people become more innovative and creative when they relax from time to time and meet new friends. Profoundly speaking, wedding parties and promotion celebrations enable couples and family members to form a closer bond. To be pragmatic, celebrations might offer a great opportunity for salespeople to promote their products or for the businessmen to find their partners.

On the other side, drawbacks of celebrations can never be ignored. The most obvious shortcoming is that there can be large amount of wastes of foods, beverages and disposable interior decorations. What’s more, some parties might trigger family frictions. For instance, parents may blame the young for coming home too lately while couples may suspect the loyalty of their spouses. Extreme cases such as adolescents running away from homes and husband and wife getting a divorce are not rare. Apart from that, parties and celebrations may occupy the time which are originally set aside for studying or working, which may lead to poor academic results and limited career prospects.

In conclusion, parties and celebration can be both a blessing and a curse. It is only through living the most appropriate frequency of holding and attending such events can a person enjoy life to the maximum extent.（282 words）
