2020年疫情对出国英语考试带来的阴霾，似乎在渐渐远去。然而，很多同学又将要表演‘看我10天备考雅思’这类绝活；各类考神/ycy等也将重现朋友圈（说句实话，半年没见，还挺想念）
雅思阅读如何做得更快？
想要雅思拿高分，阅读肯定是必争之地。不少同学对江鸟大哥说：

必考词汇
雅思阅读中，有些单词会比其他单词出现的频率高，
比如：eliminate 英[ɪˈlɪmɪneɪt] 美[ɪˈlɪmɪneɪt]
v. 排除; 清除; 消除; (比赛中) 淘汰; 消灭，干掉(尤指敌人或对手)
① Now a long-term study carried out in Nicaragua has eliminated these factors by showing that teaching reading to poor adult women, who would otherwise have remained illiterate, has a direct effect on their children's health and survival.

② Predictability is not the only variable that reduces or eliminatesthe
negative effects of noise. Another iscontrol. If the individual knows that he or she can control the noise, this seems to eliminate both its negative effects at the time andits after-effects.

而且，这里摘取的2句话都有对应的题目考查。
把所有的雅思题目汇总分析之后，可以看出：
考官在考察词汇的时候，有一定的倾向性
所以，备考雅思的时候，单词需要背诵记忆，但是需要有选择性地记忆背诵。
集中攻克考官考察较多的单词，对备考时间较少的同学来说是至关重要的。
长长长长长长长难句
除了词汇，长难句也是腿短的烤鸭们迈不过去的门槛。
说到长难句，一直是我们的一大难点，至于因何而难，大部分人都归咎于语法不好。
转头开始攻克语法，背完了一大堆专业语法名词：非限制性定语从句，主语从句，表语从句，倒装，强调等等，却发现依旧读不懂长难句。
so，江鸟大哥一直强调，对待长难句，我们必须化身‘开膛手杰克’
学会‘肢解’它。
举个例子：剑桥真题12 Test 5 P 1 中的第三段：
C Participants in the online debate argued that our biggest challenge is to address the underlying causes of the agricultural system’s inability to ensure sufficient food for all, and they identified as drivers of this problem our dependency on fossil fuels and unsupportive government policies.
一段话只由一句话组成，在雅思阅读中不算少见，但是对于大多数的同学来说，这就是一个非常难的长句。
长句，就像是水下游泳，一口气读完是不太可能的。所以需要切割成正常的短句子。
到底如何切割？
1 找主干
这个句子是由一个标准句型组成的：participants in the online debate argued that …andthey identified as …
这个主干定下来全句基调：网上的辩论中的参与者们认为…和他们…
they 这个人称代词指的是前一句的主语：participants
2 寻关系
这个长句子有两个句子，用and 连接。
第一个：Participants in the online debate argued that our biggest challenge is to address the underlying causes of the agricultural system’s inability to ensure sufficient food for all
第二句：they identified as drivers of this problem our dependency on fossil fuels and unsupportive government policies.
这两个句子之间是什么句子之间关系呢？
误区1: 并列关系
因为有and 连接词，很多人会误以为这是并列句
其实这是一个很大的坑
要注意到第2句有一个代词：this problem 代词都需要往前看一句
所以这里 this problem= 前一句中的问题= agricultural system’s inability toensure sufficient food for all 农业系统难以保证充足的食物
而第2句中：
they identified as drivers of this problem XX and YY= they identified XX and YY as drivers of this problem
他们认为这个问题的原因是XX 和YY
这里有一个倒装，你看出来了吗？
C Participants in the online debate argued thatour biggest challenge is to address the underlying causes of the agricultural system’s inability to ensure sufficient food for all, and they identified asdrivers of this problem our dependency on fossil fuels and unsupportive government policies.
所以前半句中：参与者们认为：我们最大的挑战就在于需要理清这个问题的潜在原因
后半句：他们认为这个问题的原因就是XX 和 YY
So它们之间其实是解释关系哦
好了，这样梳理之后，对于这个句子是不是清晰了呢？
