Describe a thing you bought with little practical value.Sample Answer1

You should say

What the thing was
Where and when you bought it
What it looked like
And explain why it has little practical value.

I bought a second hand phone and it is total a rubbish.

It was an iPhone 4S I got in a city center mall, 1000 yuan cheaper than the market price. The shop assistant promised me that it was an authorized edition from Hong Kong, 99 percent new. However, the day after its first recharging, I found that people who I called could not hear my voice. Although I could still hear them saying “hellooooo, are you still there? Hey......”...... This really annoyed me. Sometimes when my friends met me on the street, they asked whether they had done something wrong to make me too angry to answer their calls. But the truth is, it is my cell phone that got angry, had a strike and refused to work for me.

Later, I brought my phone to iPhone store for repair. To my surprise, my 4s turned out to be a fake one. Hence they would not give me a guarantee repairing. I was so depressed and started blaming myself. Only for 1000 RMB how could I did such a stupid thing! In the end, I spent 500 RMB to get it repaired and only make it work 3 months longer for me because there were always new problems popping out.

Of course, now I am already an iPhone 6S user. The new one was bought in an Apple
flagship store(旗舰店)! But thanks to that 4S, I will never buy any second hand goods.
As an old saying goes: there is no free lunch in this world.
